Why EA Engineering?

EA is a 100%-employee owned, public benefit corporation (PBC)—the largest such consultancy in the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) space. PBCs follow a social enterprise model that strives to balance the interests of stakeholders (e.g., shareholders, employee-owners, clients, communities, the general public, etc.) with the company’s pecuniary interests. EA’s culture of relentless client service ties directly into our PBC Framework as we strive to promote public benefits such as reduction of human and ecological risks associated with environmental degradation and natural resources impairment, and improvements to air, water, soil, and sediment quality through our day-to-day client project work. In 2019, EA was named Best Performer: North America in the 2019 EcoVadis Sustainability Leadership Awards in the category of Small to Medium Enterprise after earning a Gold rating in 2018 as a result of our commitment to continuous improvement and the dedication of EA employees to company-wide sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
